Happy Thanksgiving!

It's Friday

Ahhhhh, Friday...I like Fridays! Even if I am a SAHM. (That's stay-at-home-mom for those who might not know - Dad!) I like Fridays for lots of reasons but mainly because I know that we actually might see Tommy a little bit over the weekend! Maybe!

Also, I don't have to drive all the way to B's pre-K so darn early!

Hey Eric - I found gas for $1.79! Didn't stop though. Somehow I bet you have found better today! I will need to get gas in a day or so. We'll see what I find!

So, I succumbed to my need for chocolate chip cookies - twice this week! They smell really good right now! Fresh from the oven! Ok, I am now about to lock up all of the ingredients and throw away the key. I need to STOP!!

Baby Smiles

This baby is NOT a smiler! He is a very intense little guy - always watching everything! I have been trying to get some pictures of him smiling and finally got some! Baby smiles are the best! Also, get a load of that MOHAWK that is still there! Such a rebel already! A hint of things to come?? Oh my! And of course big B making silly faces! But he adores his baby brother! And a pic of me and my little guy! A rare pic as I am usually behind the camera!

Prices

Well, this isn't a good picture - it was from my phone and the sun was behind it and it was thru my window but still...can you believe that the gas prices are staying under $2.00???? I had to take a picture! $1.95 I paid today! Woohoo!

So, Amber (Ky's mom) - beat that! (She took a pic of price at $1.99) LOL!

Thoughts

Today, I am thinking about my friend Kristen. Four years ago today, her brother, Marine Sgt. Bryon Norwood, was killed in Iraq. So much more I could say...

I am also thinking of my cyber friend Becca. Her son, who has an awesome name, Benjamin, is having major testing done today. He and my Ellie were born with the same birth defect. Ben also has some other medical issues that he is having checked out today. This kid is a champ! He is super cute too!

On a lighter note, my little guy, R, is really starting to smile now! He is soooo cute! I will have to get a picture of it!

You know, there are miracles happening all around us. Healing of the body and heart, a baby's sweet smile. Today, I thank my awesome God for all that I have been given. And I know He is taking great care of Byron.

Gotta Love Him

So my wonderful hubby comes home after judo practice and says, "It sure would be nice if my wife would give me a massage???"

Me: "Ummm, honey, you never massaged me in THREE pregnancies." (This is not a lie mind you!)

Him: " Ya, so why start now?" (laughing hysterically)

Ok, can someone smack him for me??

Gotta love him but a good smack wouldn't hurt right about now!!

Hair

All I have to say is this...lock up you scissors folks. Even the KIDDIE scissors! B decided to cut his own hair. I was changing the baby's diaper and in that amount of time, a big chunk of hair was gone! Funny, when I took him to school, I found out he was the 2nd kid this week to do that!

**UPDATE**

I got to talk to one of B's classmate's mom and do you know what she said? She told me that her little boy came home telling her that B was cool and could he cut his hair like B did!!!! Oh NO!!!! B is the "cool rebel" kid! At 4 years old!!! Don't worry - I already apologized to her in advance if her son cuts his hair.

What a night

Beware: disgusting!

I know all of you moms know what I speak of. I woke up at 1 am to E screaming - she vomited in her bed. So, I cleaned her up, started a load of laundry and gave her a bath. When I was letting the water out, the toilets started gurgling and then overflowing. Great. So, dried her hair with the dryer - which takes forever - and what happens??? She threw up again. Fun. Cleaned her up again and got her into new sheets and blankets and she finally went back to sleep. By this point, I needed a shower but was afraid to mess with the water! But I said what the heck! As soon as I got changed, the baby woke up! Fed him and got spit up on. Nice. Finally went back to sleep.

SO here I am, waiting for the plumber or city water department (this has happened at least 3 times in so many months so it might not be us!), whoever comes first. You know, they should be here sometime between now and never.

**UPDATE**
Well, it's 4:15 pm and I have now seen 2 city H2O dept trucks and 1 plumber. We expect to see another city truck tomorrow to do more work. And we have to call the parks and wildlife division to come fix the part of the street in front of our house. There is a huge crack that can only be bad and Tommy thinks it has something to do with all of our plumbing problems. Remember...the reason we have been under renovation at our house for 6 months started with a plumbing problem!!!

Ok, Tommy took B to church this morning and after he got home, he decided to sit and watch a movie. For those of you who KNOW my wonderful energetic 4 year old boy, you must know this did bode well! We foolishly thought that he was just "relaxing". Nope. He threw up. Here we go again! Guess it wasn't just something E ate yesterday.

I think I am having psychosomatic stomach queasy's.

November in the South

You know you live in th South when it is 85 degrees in NOVEMBER! The baby had a tank top and shorts on! But stay tuned...he might need a coat next week! You just never know!

AND...today is the big day - election day. Go and vote if you haven't already. No matter who you support, it is a big day. Tomorrow, we will have a new president to be sworn in in January. (barring any recount!! LOL) We explained a bit about the democratic process to B this morning. HE said, so why can't the president live in the White House for like 20 years?? Oh, if he only knew...!
